Qui est Monza ?
Mauritanie
Activiste, rappeur et producteur aussi éclectique que prolifique, MONZA a réussi à établir un équilibre stable entre les cultures qui l’animent, qui le font, et celles qu’il croise au gré des rencontres et des collaborations. Monza a fondé son label ZAZA Productions en 2005. En 2008, il a également créé le festival des cultures urbaines Assalamalekoum.
Militant du secteur culturel africain, il est le vice président d'Arterial Network, réseau panafricain pour la culture. Il est également membre du programme Équation Musique initié par l'Institut français et l'Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie.
Artiste, il est notamment rappeur mais aussi directeur artistique depuis 3 ans du projet « Afro Ngoni HOP », une comédie musicale de Rap qui raconte la crise malienne, une initiative de la fondation Sur le Fleuve Niger. Depuis, 2009 il a sorti plusieurs single mais consacre l’essentiel de sa carrière artistique aux scènes et aux festival dont le dernier en date est la MASA 2020 à Abidjan.
Activist, rapper and producer as eclectic as he is prolific, MONZA has succeeded in establishing a stable balance between the cultures that animate him, that make him, and those that he crosses paths with through meetings and collaborations. Monza founded his label ZAZA Productions in 2005. In 2008, he also created the urban culture festival Assalamalekoum.
Activist of the African cultural sector, he is the vice president of Arterial Network, a pan-African network for culture. He is also a member of the Equation Musique program initiated by the French Institute and the International Organization of the Francophonie.
As an artist, he is notably a rapper but also the artistic director for the past 3 years of the project "Afro Ngoni HOP", a rap musical that tells the story of the Malian crisis, an initiative of the foundation Sur le Fleuve Niger. Since 2009, he has released several single but devotes most of his artistic career to stages and festivals, the latest being MASA 2020 in Abidjan.
